1. What we collect
From visitors to this website. This website has no forms, no analytics and no cookies. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply. Please do not send client documents or case details. [Counsel to confirm.]
From firms using the product. Account details, the documents a firm uploads and the drafts built from them, an audit log of actions on each matter, and billing details handled by our payment provider.
2. AI
How motionAI uses AI, and what it does not do, is on the AI use page.
3. Where data lives
Originals stay on the attorney's device. Documents are stored in AWS us-west-2; AI processing runs in AWS US regions (us-east-1, us-east-2, us-west-2). Each firm's data is isolated from other firms.
4. Retention and deletion
Firm data is kept while the account is active. A firm can delete any matter at any time. After cancellation the firm receives a full export, and its data is deleted 90 days later.
Emails you send us are kept in our mailbox until they are no longer needed to reply. [Counsel to confirm.]
5. Service providers
Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, document reading and AI models), Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (billing), Cloudflare (this website) and Google (email). [Counsel to confirm the list and add a processing agreement.]
